Four years of signs for a Lebanese festival
Every Labor Day weekend, Saint Anthony's Maronite Church in Lawrence throws its Lebanese Mahrajan: three days of food, music, dancing and raffles on Amesbury Street. For the past four years, the look and the signs have come from us. It's also our own church, so this one is personal.

It started with the logos. We redesigned the church's logo as part of a full rebrand, and designed the Mahrajan its own logo: the one you see at the top of every banner and on the program.
A festival lives or dies by whether people can find things. Where's the entrance, where's the food, where's the bar, when does it open. So almost everything we make for the Mahrajan answers one of those questions.
The entrance gets a welcome banner in English, Spanish and Arabic and tall pole banners with both flags. Along the fence, a row of feather flags tells you what's where: saj, sandwiches, pastries, the bar, raffle baskets. Fence banners and stands carry the schedule, and yard signs, flyers, postcards and the program booklet get the word out before the weekend.
Over the years we've also done the stage sponsor banner, signs for the church's golf tournament sponsors, parking passes, banners for the altar and Sunday school, and screen ads on Pixel Billboards to promote the festival.
We're parishioners here, so we're at the Mahrajan every year anyway. Same team every year means the look stays the same and nobody has to start from scratch.
